Ever since Capella Augustina launched the only Haydn festival in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2002, the works of Haydn have formed the centerpiece of the orchestra’s musical activities. Over the past two decades we have performed a major portion of his instrumental output, as well as oratorios, sacred works, and many of his operas, which are otherwise rarely given.
